A Private Pilot License (PPL) is a great starting point for you to become a pilot, mostly used for leisure and private use. Join our Flying Club and start flying today! Flying is enjoyable yet challenging, and being able to fly an aircraft safely is a huge accomplishment. Furthermore, flying fast is a cost-effective mode of transportation. A PPL allows you to fly throughout Malaysia and transport non-paying passengers, although you cannot charge for your services.

Our weekend Private Pilot License (PPL) program is ideal for students, working-class people, and professionals. All training will take place on our aircraft, which are always available to you. The PPL license is an entry-level course designed for flying enthusiasts that provides you with the foundational skills to pilot a single-piston-engine aircraft confidently. The flight training includes 40 hours of basic maneuvering and navigation training and hands-on aircraft experience. According to CAAM specifications, the course should take approximately twelve weeks to complete on a full-time basis.

Requirement

To acquire a PPL, you have to be at least 17 years old, be able to read, write, and communicate in English on a functional level; and meet Class 2 medical requirements. You will also need theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience. You must also pass the theoretical knowledge examinations and skill test administered by a CAAM-approved Flight Training Organization (FTO) or Flying Club providing instructional flying (FC), as well as meet all regulatory licensing requirements.

  5. Radio Telephony (Specific Subject Concerning the Different Aircraft Categories)
  6. Principles of Flight
  7. Operational Procedures
  8. Flight Performance, Planning and Loading
  9. Aircraft General Knowledge (A)
  10. Navigation
  11. Aircraft Type Technical (1 Type Only)

Flying Phase (6 to 9 Months)

  1. Dual Flight (with Instructor) – 40 hours
  2. Solo Flight – 10 hours
  3. PPL Flight Test

Basic Requirements

  • Physically fit
  • Non-colour blind
  • Proficiency in English language (able to write, speak, and understand fluently)
